The recently dedicated Merle Phillips Park (Sunbury Riverfront) was a large project over 10 years in the making.  Initiated by the City of Sunbury and funded by numerous federal, state, and local agencies the park provides both river bank stablilization and recreation opportunities to the Susquehanna Valley.  BMDLA was involved in the 2 year construction project as the Landscape Sub-contractor to HRI, Inc.  This project included the installation of three bluestone perennial gardens, over eighty shade trees, 2500 shrubs and 12,000 square feet of sod.

Parks and Recreation Director and City Councilman Jim Eister has said “Ben and his crew have been the most professional and reliable landscape contractor the City has had in a long time, and we look forward to working with them again on future projects”
