When you call us, we’ll set up an initial consultation at a time that is convenient for you. Ben Dietrich, owner of B.M. Dietrich Landscape Architecture, will sit down with you, listen to your ideas for your dream outdoor living space, and take a look at your environment. He will show you previous work, as well as discuss with you the pros and cons of your wish list. At your very first meeting, we want to get to know you, because we’re creating a one-of-a-kind space designed to complement your personality and your home.
Before you sign your construction contract with us; we’ll narrow down the scope of work, and make sure everything fits within your budget. Once you have signed your contract, we enter the permit phase. Throughout Pennsylvania, each city, town, township and/or county has its own set of rules and regulations. We take care of the entire permit process, ensuring that we receive permits without hassle and with the least amount of delay.

At BMDLA we manage every phase of the project, which enables us to offer our clients the highest level of craftsmanship and quality at an unparalleled price. Since every project is custom, pricing will be based on your unique project. Here are just some ballpark figures to get you thinking about your budget:
Small residential landscape projects: Smaller projects usually do not require detailed master plans. During initial consultations our designers can create functional designs at no cost. (Construction Budgets for small projects usually range from: several thousand to 10k or 20k)
Large residential landscape projects: may include a custom in-ground swimming pool and spa, water features, landscaping, retaining walls, custom decks, lighting, irrigation, fencing and more. This type of project would require detailed plans prepared at a reasonable cost (Construction Budgets for large projects usually range from 20k-100k)
We are the only design/build landscape construction company in the region that is owned and operated by a professionally trained and licensed Landscape Architect (PA# LA001724)
Personal Service
BMDLA is not a large company, with less than 6 employees; we can provide top notch service with personal accountability. As the owner, Ben is involved in every project.
Unique Design
We recognize that not everyone can envision the design off of a sheet of paper. Therefore we can provide 3D sketch planning that will aid in the interpretation of the design and selection of materials.
